Akubra size chart
Felt hats are adaptable and usually conform to the shape of your head after a little wearing. However, it is essential that you measure your head to ensure the best fit.
To measure your head:
- Place a dressmaking tape 12mm above the ears
- Keep the tape level and firm; across the temple and above the eyebrow ridges, and take the measurement
- Check the size chart below
Note: size up if you are in-between head measurements

- The inner bands may shrink slightly with use. Do not expect a tight-fitting hat to loosen up.
-
Avoid leaving unworn felt hats in hot cars- it will cause them to shrink.
-
Felt hats are not waterproof and may lose their natural shape if wet.
-
Loose-fitting hats can be made smaller by placing newspaper between the inner band and felt.
